Keyboard Monitor
The keyboard monitor logs keys pressed by a user. The monitor will display useful information such as process name and window title that received keyboard input, name of the pressed key as well as the scan code.
Starting the keyboard monitor
To start the keyboard monitor, make sure that Keyboard is enabled in the panel of activated monitors on the left of the screen. Then click the Start button.
Stopping the keyboard monitor
To stop the keyboard monitor, click the Stop button.
Information in the keyboard monitor view
Date/Time
This column displays the moment of each action that
was registered by the monitor. The time stamp is a value with a
precision of 100 nanoseconds. If multiple actions took place within a
single time interval of 100 nanoseconds, the time stamp value will be
incremented to guarantee a unique time stamp.
Action
This columns displays the name of the action that was registered. For the keyboard monitor this can be only ' KeyPress'.
Process
This displays the name of the process which received keyboard input.
Key
This displays the name of the key that was pressed.
Keycode
This identifies the virtual key code of the key that was pressed.
Window Title
This displays the name of the window that received keyboard input.
HWND
This displays the handle of the window that received keyboard input.
PID
This displays a the process ID of the executable that received keyboard input.
Thread ID
This displays the thread ID that received keyboard input.
